We wanted to let you know that our Carr Mill Mall parking policy is designed with a simple goal in mind: to support our amazing local businesses. As the heart of our community, we want to make sure that when you come here to shop or grab a bite, you can always find a convenient place to park. The entire reason for this policy is to protect our tenants and their patrons. We noticed a growing issue with our parking lot being used by people not visiting the mall, which is directly impacting the small businesses and the safety of our shoppers.

Heading to Carr Mill? We are a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and business in Carrboro, NC. Parking is for active patrons, shoppers, and diners only. Here’s a quick rundown of our parking policy:

• Park and shop. Don’t park and hop! Leaving the property, even if carpooling or running errands across the street, can lead to towing. We use cameras for safety and authorized parking.

• Have an appointment at a Carr Mill business? No problem. You can park here as long as you’re actively visiting the property. We enforce a strict parking policy, so remember – park and stay.
  
  

How our policy is working

We want the mall to be a welcoming and stress-free place for you. The signs around the lot have a simple QR code, and we’re so happy to see that people are using them—in the last month alone, we’ve had over 45 scans, and over 300 visits to our parking policy online! This shows us that people are reading the signs and taking a moment to understand the policy, which is great. Our goal is to protect the vibrant shops and restaurants that make our mall so special.

A note on downtown parking 

The Town of Carrboro is also posting new signs for their town lots, which are free for all visitors to downtown Carrboro. This is a helpful step that benefits everyone, and we appreciate their partnership in making our town even better.
