Nina is a welcoming face with a rich history 

Nina greets everyone with a genuine smile, her warmth radiating throughout the cozy space of Love and Peace. Chatting with her, you quickly realize that this isn’t just a business – it’s a reflection of her journey and her values. Originally from New York, Nina and her late husband, Drew, found their way to the welcoming community of Chapel Hill. Before establishing Love and Peace in its current Carr Mill home, they cultivated a presence on Franklin Street, evolving their vision and connecting with the local community.

A story of love and unbreakable strength 

Life took an unexpected and tragic turn in September 2023 with a devastating car accident that claimed the lives of her beloved husband, Drew and son, Kris. Nina herself faced a long and arduous recovery, spending four months in rehabilitation. Her journey back has been a testament to her incredible strength and determination. Despite unimaginable loss and physical challenges, Nina is focused on honoring Drew and Kris’ memory and continuing the legacy they built together. The outpouring of support from the Carr Mill community during this difficult time speaks volumes about the impact Nina and Drew have had on those around them.
